Accessibility
Useful information should be available to more people.
We aim to make Living Picks clear, robust and usable across devices and ways of navigating. This statement was reviewed on 7 September 2026.
01 / Commitment
Our accessibility aim
Living Picks works towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 Level AA as a practical benchmark. Accessibility is considered in structure, writing, visual design and interaction.
We treat this as continuing work rather than a one-time claim. Changes to content and technology can reveal new issues that need attention.
02 / Design and content
Practices built into the site
Pages use semantic headings and landmarks, a skip link, descriptive link text, alternative text for meaningful images and visible keyboard focus. Text contrast, readable line lengths and touch target sizes are included in the shared design system.
The layout reflows from narrow phones to wide screens without requiring a separate mobile site. Motion is limited, and reduced-motion preferences disable smooth scrolling and transitions.
03 / Compatibility
Browsers and assistive technology
The site is built with standard HTML, CSS and a small amount of optional JavaScript. Core reading and navigation remain available when JavaScript is disabled.
We expect it to work with current mainstream browsers, keyboard navigation and commonly used screen readers. Older or highly customised combinations may present differences.
04 / Known limitations
Where experience may vary
Generated editorial photographs can contain visual detail that is difficult to capture fully in concise alternative text. We describe their informational purpose and use captions where context is important.
External email and telephone applications opened by contact links are outside our control. Their accessibility depends on the software and settings on your device.
05 / Requesting help
An alternative way to receive information
If a page or format is difficult to use, tell us the page, the task you were trying to complete and the technology involved if you are comfortable sharing it. We will look for a reasonable alternative.
You can email contact@livingpicks.online or call +61 2 9621 3144 during Monday–Friday, 10:00 am–6:00 pm.
06 / Feedback and review
Help us find what automated checks miss
Specific feedback from people using the site is valuable, particularly when it describes the barrier and its effect. We review credible reports and prioritise issues that block access to core content or contact details.
This statement and the site are reviewed as the publication changes. Contact us if you would like a response about an accessibility concern.
